Peng Xiancheng was born in Chengdu City of Sichuan Province in 1941. He is now member of the Chinese Artists Association and painter at Sichuan Poem, Calligraphy & Painting Studio.
His paintings always featured with ancient poems and traditional themes, especially horses, laying emphasis on feelings. He is skilled at “boneless” technique which imposes bone’s feeling in a boneless state. It is spacious, vigorous, colorful, carefully painted and full of artistic sense of Tang and Song Dynasties of China. His works are elegant, simple, primitive, classical and incorporated with the feelings for modern life. In 1989, his “Painting About Xixiang” won the Bronze Medal at the 7th National Painting Exhibition.
